Ride Shocks for the 2022+ Toyota Tundra are purpose built around the 3rd Gen Tundra platform, including its unique suspension design, factory spring rates, and differences between hybrid and non hybrid models. Rather than using a one size fits all approach, each Ride Shock is pre tuned around your Tundra’s specific configuration, weight, and aftermarket accessories before it ships.

3RD GEN TUNDRA FITMENT NOTES

Ride Shocks front coilovers are designed to provide 2.5 inches of front lift, while rear shocks are designed for 0 to 1.5 inches of rear lift. Weight specific shock options are available to account for the significant differences between stock Tundras and trucks equipped with bumpers, winches, skid plates, racks, recovery gear, and other accessories. Hybrid and non hybrid models are also accounted for when selecting the appropriate shock configuration.

Complete 2022+ Tundra suspension packages can combine Ride 2.5 front coilovers, rear shocks, and supporting suspension components to create a properly matched system. Every Ride Shock features a 12 click Dual Piston Adjuster (DPA) with independent high and low speed compression adjustment, giving you the ability to fine tune the suspension for your Tundra’s weight, terrain, and driving style.

What tire size will my Tundra fit with Ride Shocks installed?

Up to 35x12.50 R17 on a 17x7.5 wheel (5.20" backspacing, +25 offset) with proper bump stop spacing and alignment, or up to 37x12.50 R17 on a 17x8.5 wheel (5.70" backspacing, +25 offset) — stepping up to 37s also requires removing the tire intrusion bracket in the rear of the wheel well.

What's different about how Ride Shocks handles the Tundra's TNGA platform?

The TNGA platform's control arm and link arm bushings are unusually soft, which causes vibration and inconsistent bump feel once a shock is valved stiff enough for off-road use. We address this with a unique tuning methodology and purpose-built parts rather than just softening the valving to mask it.

Do I need a different weight range if my Tundra is a hybrid?

Yes — hybrid Tundras carry meaningfully more weight from the battery pack, so hybrid and non-hybrid trucks use different shock configurations. Our lighter-duty front configuration isn't recommended at all for hybrid trucks; hybrids require the heavier-duty configuration even at stock weight.

What lift height can I expect from Ride Shocks on my Tundra?

Front coilovers deliver approximately 2.5" of lift over stock with the correct weight range. Rear shocks fit a 0–1.5" range. Exact lift depends on weight range selection and preload adjustment, and varies slightly by trim — TRD Sport sees about 0.5" of additional lift, while TRD Pro sees about 1" less than other trims due to its taller factory ride height.

Will this system work with my TRD Pro's factory sway bar or rear air suspension?

If your Tundra has the red TRD Pro sway bar, you won't need the sway bar or skid plate relocation spacers included for other trims. Rear air suspension-equipped trucks are not currently compatible with our rear shocks.
