GX470 PLATFORM NOTES
The GX470 uses a coil spring rear suspension — making rear spring rate selection critical. We offer rear shocks in three weight ranges to match your GX470's configuration from stock to heavily accessorized overlanding builds.

KDSS NOTE: KDSS-equipped GX470s require KDSS spacers for correct system operation at lifted heights. Extended rear brake lines are required with all 0–3" lift rear shock kits and are included in our complete kits.

What lift height is achievable on the GX470 with Ride Shocks?

Front coilovers are fully adjustable from 0–3.5" of lift. Rear shocks are available in 0–3" lift heights. Complete kits typically deliver approximately 2–3" depending on weight range and preload.

My GX470 has KDSS — do I need special components?

Yes — KDSS spacers are required to ensure correct KDSS operation at lifted heights. Our KDSS-compatible kits include these spacers as a standard component. Look for hydraulic tubes along the front lower control arms to confirm KDSS.

Are extended brake lines necessary for the GX470 lift kit?

Yes — extended rear brake lines are required with all 0–3" lift rear shocks to safely accommodate increased suspension travel. Included in all complete GX470 lift kits.

What weight range do I need for my accessorized GX470?
